Goblins and Worgens Oh My!

When the rumor first broke about Goblins and Worgens coming to World of Warcraft as new playable races I was very skeptical. I saw this rumor as wild speculation by someone who was reading too much into the discovery of a couple masks.
As it turns out, they may have been right all along.
The rumors have popped up again with WoW.com announcing more leaked information regarding the goblin and worgen races.
I have to admit that I am not very excited about these being the new playable races. My first thought about goblins being playable was that it seemed a lot like Yoda wielding a lightsaber. It’s a cool novelty at first but after a few minutes it just seems silly. Plus, goblins have long been the race that creates weapons and bombs and vehicles but they don’t do the fighting themselves.
My problem with worgens is that they just seem more like a beast than a humanoid. They appear odd wearing armor and how will they communicate? Can they speak the same language as a human? It doesn’t seem like they should be able to. Now if worgens were able to shapeshift…that would be cool.
All in all these two races seem like they are strange choices for the new playable races. I think Blizzard could have chosen a race like Ethereals, which to me would be a fun race to play.
