My situation is a little different. I don't classify my self as a gamer. But one of my earliest memories as a child is; "I'm never stopping two things; watching cartoons and playing video games." That sounds hardcore but hey I was 5.
I grew up an only child and as a backhanded slap from unwitting family members they would give me board games for presents(bday& Christmas). I love board games but no one to play them with. Try playing 80's version of Trivial Pusuit with a grandmother who is on yhe fringes of deminsia.
Anyway I was introduced to D&D while I was in elementary school and was fascinated. But I was still in the same rat trap....no one to play with.

Fast forward 20 some years and WOW comes out. I'm married, no kids, but I travel all the time and hours are sometimes in question. But for me WOW is THE ONLY thing that tickles all my fantasies. Im sure there are other mmos out there but I'm not risking it to find out.

WOW has the fantasy element, can be played for 5 minutes or 5 hours, solo or in groups, with someone or against someone.......it has everything that "I" need. So to answer the question....No I don't play any other games(I'm writing this while my server is down for maint.)

I play Portal once in a while, and Halo PC (the original, in solo campaign mode) several times a week, but otherwise it's "All-WoW, All The Time"

I'm married, one wife, 7 indoor cats, 3 outdoors (the house is full. VERY full), no kids at home, although my oldest son is technically Guild leader for my raiding guild (I am leader of the leveling guild). As you can imagine, I really have no time for more than one game.

Before WoW, I used to buy about 5 games a year. Since I started playing WoW, the only games I've bought are the expansions. Well, except I did just pick up Torchlight, but only because I was wanting a Diablo like experience and I couldn't find my disk for Diablo II, but I don't play it nearly as much as WoW. Maybe only one or two hours a week, if that.

And, to put it in perspective, I'm a single female gamer, with no kids, so I can't even blame my family - I'm just a bit of a WoW addict, and actually, my guild is very much like a family to me. And, yes, contrary to popular belief, women do play WoW. In fact, my guild is probably 40 - 50% female (of the active players), which is apparently unusual, but nice.
