I seem to be getting podcast number 8 rather than 9. Just making sure I am not going crazy…

Loved the podcast. Thanks for the mention ;) Just wanted to say that you guys are doing much better with the “Um”‘s and “Uh”‘s – it is noticed.

And I really enjoyed the Lore discussion. I’ve been playing the game for almost 4 years and I played Warcraft 2, but my knowledge of the lore is sketchy at best. I’ve been getting a lot more into it lately, mainly because I’m listening to more podcasts and reading more blogs. I’m really enjoying it, especially because of discussions like on your show, so thank you.

Plus, I play alliance, too, so it was nice to get the alliance perspective for a change. Why does it seem like all the podcasters are Horde?

@Whimzee: Horde podcasters are in the majority because playing Horde is easy mode, so they have more free time than us Alliance players. ;-)

Actually, I have one Horde toon on Trollbane, and nothing but Horde on Earthen Ring and a couple of other realms, but poor Ludicrous gets very little love. I log him in whenever there’s likely to be a gift from Blizzard in his mailbox, and that’s about it. You’d think a Tauren shaman would be popular, but he has no friends and no guild.

I have horde on other realms, too, but my highest is level 21. They rarely get played, pretty much only when I want to play but not be social and that doesn’t happen much anymore, especially since I’ve started working Loremaster on my main and that takes up all my “free” time in WoW.

Good luck with Loremaster! It’s a great achievement, although (imo) the Tabard is lacking.

I can’t tell you why most podcasters are horde, it really boils down to personal play preference. Many of them come from either previous game-teams or had friends who were horde to begin with.

And from personal experience it’s hard to switch factions if you have 1 toon so deep into end-game. There are so many benefits to having a capped character and making alts of the same faction is made exponentially easier by guilds and BoA items that it makes it harder to make the leap.

I play Alliance, why? Because it was the default when the game started up lol.
I was told years ago that kids play Alliance, and men play Horde. Maybe I’ll switch all 9 toons over to horde and start /spitting on all the Alliance.
