Poem: Twas The Night Before Cataclysm
Since there was a request for the words to my little poem at the beginning of WoWphiles Podcast #50, I decided to post them here for everyone.
Twas the night before Cataclysm when all through the land,
Not a creature was stirring, not even the Cult of the Damned.
In the shadows the Burning Legion prepared,
In hopes that a great dragon soon would be there.
Varian Wrynn had just gotten settled down in his bed,
While visions of war danced in Garrosh Hellscream’s brown head.
The Orcs, Dwarves and Gnomes, and all of the Elves,
Had set their armor aside and their weapons on shelves.
When up through the Earth there was a great shatter,
I ran to the streets to see what was the matter.
From high in the sky I heard a beast groan,
Then unleash fury like fire and brimstone.
Buildings collapsed and the landscape was changed,
From Elwynn Forest all the way to Moonglade.
And then like a flash the vision became clear,
And with my own two eyes I saw, that Deathwing was here.
