This is Icesnake Frostfyre, “The” Icesnake, back with another 5.0.4 segment.

In this segment we’re looking at an add-on that’s a must-have for PvP, called “Healers Have To Die.” In its simplest use, when you are in a Battleground orother PvP situation, “Healers Have To Die” (henceforth calle “HHTD”) will place a large red cross over the head of enemy healers, much like raid target markers; but HHTD does this automatically, and only for players with the add-on. You can also configure it to announce those healers’ names in the raid channel. HHTD also works in PVE; it has a “cumulative healing” threshold that determines when an NPC should be flagged as a healer.

In order for HHTD to work, you must have “name plates” turned on; if enemy healers aren’t marked, just hit “V” to turn on the name plates, and you will instantly know who has to die first.

In addition, HHTD will let you know when friendly healers are being attacked, so you can try to defend them.

I’m not going to go into “fair or not fair,” that’s Blizzard’s bailiwick. All I can tell you is that it’s a lot easier for my badly-undergeared paladin to survive when enemy healers are killed quickly in the Battle for Gilneas!

You can get Healers Have To Die from and don’t forget to check out the Special Commands section on the add-on’s Description page there.
