Icesnake’s Add-on Emporium: WoW 5.0.5 Segment 18; Deadly Boss Mods

[Nov 3, 2012 | No Comment] by: Icesnake Frostfyre

This is the Icesnake.

Today I bring you Deadly Boss Mods. If you are planning to raid, you need Deadly Boss Mods. If you have never raided before, Deadly Boss Mods (also known as DBM) will help you to look a little less like a noob.

DBM will help you know when to take action in boss fights, to keep you and your fellow raiders alive. If you use LFR, you should be using DBM.…

Icesnake’s Add-on Emporium: WoW 5.0.4 Segment 17; AttackNearestEnemy

[Oct 31, 2012 | 3 Comments] by: Icesnake Frostfyre

I am the Icesnake, and this is my Emporium. Stay awhile, and listen!

This segment is about an unusual add-on; one that you may use once and then uninstall, and still continue to benefit ffrom what it does.

AttackNearestEnemy creates a macro the first time you log onto a toon. The macro is tuned (no pun intended) to the character class of that toon, and placed in the macro section for that specific character. Once …

Icesnake’s Add-on Emporium: WoW 5.0.4 Segment 16; Hear Kitty

[Oct 29, 2012 | No Comment] by: Icesnake Frostfyre

I am the Icesnake, and you’re listening to my Add-on Emporium.

This segment is for those “resource users;” if your toon uses chi, mana, combo points, etcetera, or if you drive vehicles that use resources, Hear Kitty is for you. That’s H-E-A-R Kitty. This add-on plays a sound to let you know what’s happening with resources so you don’t have to glance away from your target.

Hear Kitty works for Druids, Rogues, Shaman, Priests, Hunters, …

Segment 38: Add-ons for Mages

This week we’re going to take a look at a few of the add-ons meant for mages, the glass cannons of the World of Warcraft. As always, be sure to get the latest version if you’re going to try these out; out-of-date add-ons may not work at all, or worse, they may do something completely different to what you want. Check out the links in the segment notes for add-on …

Arcane Mage Glyphs since Patch 4.0.1

[Oct 27, 2010 | 5 Comments] by: Jason Zimmerman

I originally wrote my article about Arcane Mage spec and glyphs for patch 4.0.1 right as the patch was coming out and used play time in the the Cataclysm Beta as well as sites like Wowtal.com for reference.

Unfortunately since then Patch 4.0.1 went live and Mage glyphs are a complete and utter mess in the live game. Therefore I decided to go back and revisit glyphing specifically for Arcane Mages and try to give …

Arcane Mage Spec for Patch 4.0.1

[Oct 12, 2010 | 34 Comments] by: Jason Zimmerman

Since I consider Mage to be my number one alt and one of my favorite classes to play, I decided to follow up my Protection Paladin 4.0.1 post with an Arcane Mage blog post.

Currently, I raid as an Arcane Mage which has proven to most the most widely used PvE spec during Wrath of the Lich King. This guide will help you to maintain your Arcane spec while simply updating it for patch 4.0.1.…
