Account Security Warning

[Mar 31, 2011 | View Comments] by: Icesnake Frostfyre

This morning, as is my usual habit, I tried to log into WoW from the computer in our library at home. Instead of the normal “Authentication Successful” message, a larger splash screen popped up, telling me that my account had been locked due to a detected “change in play pattern.” Now, my pattern is highly predictable. I normally play on the computer in my home library mornings and evenings, on my office work computer…

If you partake in such activities as entering in contests, liking content on Facebook, sharing content on Twitter, you begin to unlock rewards for your faction.

By “Liking” and “Sharing” content on the site, taking the personality test, and submitting original images or videos to our contests,

At first I thought, “What the heck, how is that even possible?” But then I thought, “Wait, I just logged in to WoW and my password works just fine. What…

Guilds to Have a Hardcap of 600 Members

[Oct 5, 2010 | View Comments] by: Jacob "Modem"

That’s right. Posted just minutes ago. Guilds will not be allowed to invite members after 600. Guilds with current memberships higher than that will still be intact but will not be able to invite new members until they drop themselves below 600.

Coming Home

[Aug 6, 2010 | View Comments] by: Icesnake Frostfyre

At long last, Icesnake the Gnome Mage has transferred to Lightbringer. I will be available to portal members of The Gathering hither and thither in the World of Warcraft (and ladies, you can ride in my sidecar any time!). Just ask for me in Guild chat; if I am on an alt, I will let you know and toonhop as soon as possible.

ADDENDUM: Apparently there is already an “Icesnake” impersonator on Lightbringer.

New World of Warcraft Battleground: The Isle of Conquest

[Jun 16, 2009 | View Comments] by:

As someone who really enjoys PvP I am pretty excited about the new BG that is coming in patch 3.2 called The Isle of Conquest. It seems like they are taking the things we enjoy about Wintergrasp, (large scale battle, with siege workshops etc) and turning it into a battleground. I for one am really looking forward to this. Here are a few of the details from the official WoW site.
